Below is a message from our Presiding Elder, Dr. Betty Whitted Holley:

Good afternoon to Everyone,
Our Episcopal Leader, The Right Reverend Frank Madison Reid, III was featured in the Columbus-Dayton African American Journal. The article is attached.

Next week, May 21-23, 2020,(Thursday, Friday & Saturday), please join the Third District in the Virtual Global Recover All Conference From Survival 2 Revival,  which will be live on Facebook. Bishop Reid has requested that you post this on your church's website/social media as soon as you have the opportunity.

Continue to be blessed and please stay safe. Use your Godly judgment as you participate in the reopening of businesses throughout Ohio. A word to the wise, let us not be made into statistics relative to the number of cases or deaths for the State of Ohio.

Take care,
Dr. Betty Whitted Holley

April 4, 2020
Greetings, once again in the precious Name of the Savior, Jesus the Christ Who reigns!

I continue to pray that you and your family are being extra careful to stay safe throughout this Coronavirus era, while at the same time, trusting in the Lord to be your refuge and fortress. I truly believe that when the pandemic is over, we will look back and see ourselves as more than conquerors through Christ who loved us. We will emerge stronger, wiser, and better.

What the devil meant for evil, God is already working it together for good. For instance, just in the last day or so, we've secured Zoom Video Conferencing capabilities for our virtual services; completed our website (except for uploading more photos on the Gallery page); and are finalizing the mechanism to facilitate online and mobile app giving. All of these things, and more, will enable us to go forth with worship and ministry and will benefit us long after the pandemic is over.

In a letter this week from Bishop Reid, he encouraged Team Third by saying, "We’ve Got To Face It To Fix It: The Third District Is Committed To Stopping The Coronavirus By Any Means Necessary!" He went on to instruct us to avoid potential spiritual and legal liability by asking all congregants not to attend church functions at which they could be exposed to this deadly virus.

Bishop concluded his message with reassurance, "Team Third, we are all in this Coronavirus storm together. A growing number of those dead are AME Pastors and members. Reports from other Christian denominations are equally deadly and dire. This is a test of our faithfulness, focus and commitment to Christ and His church. If we turn to each other, with Christ-like compassion and loving kindness, instead of turning on each other like critical backstabbers, the Third Episcopal District will emerge from this global pandemic stronger, wiser and better."

In closing, I echo Bishop's sentiments that this is a test of our faithfulness. As we persevere and press on, our faith assures us that this, too, shall pass! In the meantime, I pray for you, you pray for me, and watch God change things!

God bless you all!
